Holiday reviews for Andalusia

Andalusia is a region of geographical contrasts. Inland in Huelva, the Parque Nacional de Doñana is a world heritage site and home to a large number of species including the Iberian lynx.
The desert-like landscape of Almeria, familiar from spaghetti westerns, stretches east to a coastline of empty beaches and tiny hidden coves. The surrounding countryside is perfect for horse riding and hiking.
In the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Granada is home to the magnificent series of 14th-century Moorish palaces, fountains and gardens known as the Alhambra. Travel south to the Costa Tropical to explore the historic quarters of Almuñécar, Salobreña and Motril and to take part in all sorts of watersports.
Andalusian cuisine owes its character to these sharp regional differences and Arab roots. Try eggs a la flamenca (with tomatoes, spicy sausage and peas), salt cod stew, and ardoria (made with tomato, bread, olive oil and cucumber).
