Review: We booked our caravan holiday at Camping du Pylone in Biot in the South of France (Cote D'Azur) through French Life and the caravan was fine. Little things could have been done better, like better linen etc. However we had everything we needed and spent most of the time sitting outside the caravan rather than in it, and it was very clean.
After speaking to other people we realised that many people rented caravans privately, and many companies were based on this particular campsite. Other privately owned caravans looked to be cheaper than ours and with better facilities so we may book privately if we go again. Also we were very near the entrance and had many cars going past, which was not ideal with the children.
We really liked the campsite itself. The amenities were very good and we ate in the restaurant several times - they were very helpful with the children. We met many other very friendly people and enjoyed some of the entertainment provided in the evenings. Camping du Pylone is an excellent base and extremely good value for money, when you consider our location and the timing (Cannes Film Festival etc). The campsite also has a big outdoor swimming pool, which we used frequently and was located very close to a fun fair and a marine life park (dolphin shows etc).
I think the very best aspect of this accomodation was its location, but we really did enjoy our stay on the campsite and after a week began to feel part of the 'site community', even though we did our own thing from day to day. I would definitely go back to Camping do Pylone again. |
