Review: I enjoyed a lovely weekend stay at the Mallory Court hotel in Leamington Spa. The Mallory Court is a lovely Country House Hotel set in its own grounds, just on the outskirts of Leamington Spa.

The service at the hotel was excellent - from the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble.

we stayed in one of the luxurious hotel suites which was spectacular. wide screen TV, separate Shower/Bathroom, Entrance hall and Toilet. The fittings and room decor were all to a very high standard.

A micro HiFi in the room came with clear instructions and could be set to provide music in the bathroom area as well as the main room.

We arrived late when it was dark, and had a lovely surprise in the morning as the room had lovely views over the gardens and surrounding countryside.

Dining.
The Hotel has a Michelin Starred restaurant as well as a Bistro, so food is to a high quality. Unfortunately, because we weren't certain of our time of arrival, we were unable to book the restaurant and it was fully booked when we arrived. But we still enjoyed a lovely meal at the (less formal) bistro restaurant which, at £85 for 2 for aperitifs, 3 courses and a nice bottle of Manager recommended wine, represented excellent value for money.

(although the dress code on the website states smart casual, a lot of the diners eating in the restaurant were dressed more formally - ladies - cocktail dresses, gents - casual jacket and tie.. tho whether this was just for the night we were there, i cannot say)

There are no health club type facilities at the hotel, but it does have an arrangement with a nearby hotel that does provide access to these facilities. You can also book a selection of beauty treatments in your room if you so desire.

Breakfast was excellent and considering we arrived late, we woke refreshed and ready to face a day trudging round the NEC, which is a pleasant 20 minute drive from the hotel.

I'd particularly recommend the larger rooms in the original hotel. If it's a fine day and you fancy an early morning stroll, the Oak tree in the car park has one of the most wonderful dawn choruses I've ever heard :o)

Thoroughly recommended for a really special night.
