Review: Matlock Bath has something for everyone; arcades for Dad and the kids, Gulliver's Kingdom theme park for all the family, the famous Blue John Mines to explore and you cannot visit Matlock without admiring the views of Derbyshire from the cable cars.
Matlock Bath itself is situated in breathtaking Derbyshire countryside, with hills and cliffs to climb, it has both easy and advanced trails and you are just a few minutes drive away from attractions such as the High Tor with breathtaking views. Canoes are available to rent and there is also a mining museum to visit.
Plenty of souvenir and gift shops and an indoor aquarium make this the ideal place to visit. Within range of the Crich Tramway Museum, Butterley Train Museum and many more of Derbyshire's finest attractions, you won't be left stuck for something to do. In the autumn and winter months, the Matlock Lights rival Blackpool's!
It is fantastically peaceful until Sundays when all the bikes roar into town, when, if you like that sort of thing, you can walk up and down the main drag admiring Harleys and sports bikes to your heart's content! |
