Review: Cruised from Luxor to Aswan and back in one week. Highly recommend the balloon flight at dawn, even though there is a bit of hanging around to get there! Cost £130 for two. A real "must" is the trip to Abu Simbel - absolutely breathtaking. This trip was approx £190 each. Not normally one for sightseeing, but have to say I was not bored once! Tiring and relaxing at the same time - sight seeing for 5 days of the holiday, but cruising down the nile at the end of the day makes up for the early starts. Also, motor boat and Felucca boat rides are included in the cruise.
The sound and light show at Karnak didn't really do it for me, think I was expecting a bit much. It also got very cold at the end of show - even though it was over 100 degrees every day. |
