Review: Presthaven Sands Holiday Park is part of the haven group of holiday chains. The caravan site was huge with what seemed like row upon row of caravans. Me and my partner settled for a silver grade caravan (the grades range from gold, silver, 4 star, 3 star etc). Check in took 10 minutes, we were given our keys and clean linen and directed to our caravan. We were really lucky as it was at the back of the site right next to the sand dunes, just a 1 min walk from the sea.
The caravan was clean, had all essential items, 6 beds, shower, toilet, tv etc. The only downside was the carpet was stained, but then again I am picky!
The site boasted good entertainment venues. There was the fun works which is basically a huge amusement arcade packed with screaming kids and over anxious parents. There was a restaurant, a parents bar and an area dedicated to young childrens entertainment. Seriously annoying and loud and stressful though. All the kids love Barney bear! There was also a swimming baths which we got a free pass for when we paid for our stay. Plus bike rental (?6 for an hour!!!)
There was 24 hour security which was reassuring and I couldnt fall the staff for politeness. I would go again to a Haven site but maybe not Presthaven Sands Holiday Park. |
