Review: The streets in Sousse are clean and well swept. There are lots of little shops to look in; restaurants to eat in and there are cash points every two minutes. The shop owners will see you and say ?come look in my shop?, but when you say ?No thank you? they just let you go. They really don?t give you any grief. Once you say no, they leave you alone. The Medina is good, but it can be very hot and claustrophobic once you get into the centre of it.
We visited Port El Kantoui, which is nice but really glad we didn?t stay there. It is nice, but a bit too quiet for us and it is a man made area around a port surprisingly enough!!
We did the Sahara Trip which was fantastic ? only thing I will say is don?t take young children. It is roughly a 600 round mile trip and is well worth the money. You will have to pay an extra 20 dinars for the camel ride and the 4x4 trip into the mountains. TIP - When you get off coach to go on green horse and carts ? take insect spray as you will be eaten alive!! |
